Overview
In February 1914, the design bureau of the Putilov Shipyard, in cooperation with engineers from the German firm Blohm & Voss, developed a series of battleship projects in the style of the German school of design. The ships featured characteristics of the Bayern-class battleships being developed in Germany. Project No. 9 had three quadruple turrets with 406 mm guns arranged along the centerline.
