How research works
Every tech-tree ship is unlocked with XP earned on the ship directly ahead of it in the same line, then bought with credits. The two costs are independent: research XP gates access, credits gate ownership. This tool walks the line for you — pick any ship and it adds up the research XP and the credit price of every ship between the start of the branch and your target, so you can see what a Tier X actually costs before committing to the grind.
Where the numbers come from
Research XP and credit prices are read out of the game client's own parameter files during our data sync, so they follow the live version instead of a hand-maintained wiki table. Premium and special ships are not part of any research line — they are bought directly and sit outside the tree.
The totals are a full-price baseline. They do not model Free XP conversion, XP already banked on ships you own, or the discounts that come with events and coupons.
Reading a branch
Nations split into separate destroyer, cruiser, battleship, carrier and submarine branches that often share their low-tier ships. Where a branch splits, the shared hulls are only counted once toward your target, which is why two Tier X ships in the same nation can have very different totals.
