Overview
In early 1938, the command of the German Navy decided that the German fleet needed full-fledged battlecruisers with heavy guns. This led to the development of the O-class battlecruiser-raider project. The ship was planned to be equipped with a combined power plant, and its armament was to consist of three mounts with 380 mm caliber guns. The hypothetical development of this concept includes increasing the number of main battery guns and strengthening the anti-aircraft armament.
