Overview
A battleship design proposed in 1926 by British engineer J. Thurston with a displacement of 26,500 tons. The gun arrangement was reminiscent of Nelson-class battleships. If this design had been realized, the ship could have been armed with seven main guns and eight secondary gun turrets. This would have required a reduction in maximum speed and a slight decrease in armor protection. If built, this ship could have been purchased by Iran, which bolstered its navy with American and British ships in the post-war years.
