In 1918, German designers presented several dozen preliminary design proposals for a high-speed battleship—Grosskampfschiffe. The largest of the developed variants was designated GK-5041 and featured an armament of four main battery turrets with a displacement of 50,000 tons. In a hypothetical version of this project, the battleship is armed with 450 mm main battery guns.
