Overview
In 1926, British engineer J. Thurston proposed a battleship design known as Vickers Design 892. This design featured a displacement of 26,500 tons. The gun layout was similar to that of Nelson-class battleships, with two turrets armed with 305-mm guns positioned at the bow. Further development of the design could have increased the number of main guns to seven by reducing the maximum speed. If this design had been realized, the ship might have been purchased by Thailand, which had allied relationships with Western countries in the post-war years.
