Overview
A Battle-class destroyer designed with the experience of World War II in mind. The main advantage of these ships over their predecessors was their fully dual-purpose main battery, represented by 113 mm guns. HMS Barfleur was the only Battle-class destroyer to take part in World War II events. In 1945, she joined the British Pacific Fleet and was present in Tokyo Bay at the ceremony of Japan's surrender.
