Overview
A hypothetical variant of the H battleship project, based not on the Bismarck-type battleship but on the Scharnhorst type. This is a long-range raider with a diesel power plant and sixteen 305 mm guns. The task for such a ship would be to sever England's shipping links with its dominions and colonies. Subsequently, Germany abandoned the construction of ships with 305 mm main battery guns. However, a project with such guns could have been realized if Britain's proposals to limit the main caliber of battleships to 305 mm had remained relevant.
