Overview
When Admiral J. Fisher returned to the post of First Sea Lord in 1915, the British fleet's leadership faced the question of landing troops on the Baltic coast of Germany. It was planned that the cover would be provided by Russian troops, and for this purpose, ships with the largest possible guns were required.
