Armor Model
Overview
As part of the development of trade protection cruisers, five projects were presented in 1923. All ships built according to the production project carried almost no armor, so in 1936–41, a full-fledged armor belt was installed on part of the cruisers. HMS Devonshire was laid down in 1926. At the beginning of World War II, it served in the Home Fleet, participated in the hunt for German raiders and the Norwegian campaign, during which it evacuated the Norwegian king. In 1942, it covered the landings in Madagascar, then convoys to Australia.
