Overview
Former Fletcher-class destroyer USS Harrison participated in offensive operations throughout World War II, escorting carriers and amphibious assault forces to several key islands, as well as providing fire support to troops ashore. She earned 11 battle stars for her wartime service. After being decommissioned and placed in reserve in 1946, the ship was sold to the Mexican Navy in 1970, where she was renamed Cuauhtémoc and served until 1982.
