Overview
The further development of the La Galissonnière- and De Grasse-class light cruisers dictates an increase in the number of guns by a triple-gun turret, which could have resulted in an increase in displacement due to the added spacing. The standard displacement of such a cruiser would have been 10,000 tons, which could have allowed her to comply with the restrictions of the Washington Naval Treaty. The dual-purpose secondary battery was represented by mounts with 100 mm guns. Such a cruiser would have been a direct analog of the Town-class British cruisers or the Soviet cruisers of Project 68.
