Armor Model
Overview
The lead submarine of her class constructed in the Netherlands for the Polish Navy in the interwar period. At the outbreak of World War II, she was interned in Estonia but her crew escaped and navigated the submarine to the United Kingdom, arriving in October 1939. Serving alongside the Royal Navy during the Norwegian campaign, Orzeł sank German troopship Rio de Janeiro. She disappeared while on patrol in June 1940, and the cause of her loss remains uncertain.
