Overview
Revenge-class British battleship Royal Sovereign, transferred to the U.S.S.R. in 1944. She entered service at the height of World War I. During World War II, she took part in operations across various theaters from the Atlantic to the Indian Ocean. In the Soviet Navy, under the name Arkhangelsk, she was the largest warship in service at that time. She was part of the Northern Fleet, which operated in the Arctic, but didn't take an active role in military operations. In 1949, she was returned to Great Britain and dismantled.
