Fiume
The second member of the Zara-class heavy cruisers built for the Regia Marina, Fiume took part in the Battle of Calabria in July 1940. During the Battle of Cape Matapan on March 29, 1941, she was part of the force sent to cover damaged cruiser Pola. This force was ambushed at night by the Royal Navy, and Fiume herself was engaged by HMS Valiant and struck with numerous 381 mm shells. She sank following this attack.
